When adding directories, there are times where sub-directories contains non-episode video and/or audio material and at times these directories contains huge amounts of files which are added to the Selected Files pane. The ability to enable or disable sub-directory recursion would prevent the previously described situation. Slower workarounds:
manually remove via the GUI (can be painful)
use OS file browser to move the shows to it's own directory or the extra directories to a parent directory.
Select only episodes/directories that contains only episode files and drag and drop into GUI
I will add this as a feature request and will try to include it with the next release.
Maybe I should look into how to implement this as well.
Eg. fixed setting in preferences, ask each time, etc. 😊
