Sorry if this is a noob question, fresh to mint, so ... Rename My TV Series runs, I can choose my language, the other fields are accessible, BUT I can't enter anything in the upper left search field (I used RMTS with mac and win before). It's like there is no field there.

Little help, please?

I'm sorry to hear you're running into issues.
Unfortunately, I'm not a Linux user and only test it on Debian (not always knowing what I'm doing).

Are you using the GTK version or the QT5 version?
Can try the one you do not use right now and report back?
I can try spinning up a Mint Virtual Machine, but it is a little bit of a pain since my daily driver is a Mac (Apple Silicon) so running an Intel VM is a terrible experience.
On that note: what version of Mint are you use (so I can spin up the same version)?

@hans Thank you, Hans. I am using the GTK Version, the other does not run at all. Every other button works, just not the search fied in the upper left, very strange.

Linux Mint 22.3 - Cinnamon 64-bit is the Version I use on this machine: AMD Ryzen 7 7735U with Radeon Graphics × 8

Thank you

rm

I'll be back home in about a week and will take a look and see what I can do/test.

Linux has, and probably always will be, a challenge for me - I'm not a Linux user, but always want to have my little apps availabe for Mac, Windows and Linux. I'll have to do some testing additionally, since my dev environment moved to GTK3.

I also have a little list of requests/bugs that I need to fix, so all that combined would be good for extra testing and a new release when I get back home. 😊

So, any success?

Had to catch up with some other issues, so I didn't get to working on this yet. 😞

Downside of being away for a bit: lot to catch up when getting back home.
I am working on additional bugs/issues for RMTV as well, so these can all be bundled in a next release.

Finally got a VM running Mint, and was able to reproduce this (with GTK3).
Working on it 😊

Aaaah! Found the issue.

Geez ... how the heck I didn't that one.

Next to the searchbox, click the 3 stacked dots button, go to "search options" and choose at least one data provider.
Most use "TVDB", but you can select any of them and even more than one.

To avoid this in the future I'll make all of them checked by default.
Apologies for this.

Please let me know if this fixed the issue.

p.s. GTK3 seems to be working great with my dev tools. So a next release will be using GTK3. 😊
