From day 1, I very much disliked full screen mode (click the green maximize dot). And yes, I know your can keep the option key pressed while clicking the green maximize dot, but it just isn't what I'd want.
Ideally I'd have the option to work the other way around (press Option to go full screen), or just remove or disable this functionality completely, but so far I have not yet found how to accomplish this.
I did however find a way to keep the menu bar visible!
In -> System Preferences -> Dock & Menu Bar uncheck the option (at the bottom) "Automatically hide and show the menu bar in full screen".
Now the menu bar remains visible, even when maximizing a window.
WinSCP WinSCP - Great free tool for (S)FTP/SSH, includes remote editing of text files, copying files, etc.
WinRAR My favorite file compression/decompression tool. Fast, efficient, and support quite a lot of formats. Unfortunately ... NOT free.
0xED - Hex Editor Compact, fast and very flexible Hex (hexadecimal) editor for MacOS.
Lazarus / FPC Lazarus / Free Pascal Compiler - A cross platform software development environment that show similarities with the good old Delphi.
NAPS2 - Not Another PDF Scanner 2 Wonderful simple and reliable scanner application for Windows users. This still depends on your Windows having the proper scanner drivers installed, but it makes scanning to images or PDFs a lot easier.
Microsoft PowerToys for Windows 10 Back in the day (Windows 98/XP era) we had PowerToys - Microsoft released them again for Windows 10 (free)
