For some reason WordPress and TinyMCE in WP4 miss some buttons that might be important to you.

For example: Page-Break, Superscript and Subscript disappeared ...

For Page-break, SuperScript and SubScript we simply need to modify the button settings in our functions.php by adding this:

function t4a_set_tinymce_buttons_row2($buttons)
{
 array_push($buttons, "superscript", "subscript", "wp_page");
 return $buttons;
}
add_filter('mce_buttons_2', 't4a_set_tinymce_buttons_row2');

First thing I've noticed (to find this fix) was that the old "sub" is now called "subscript" and "sup" is now called "superscript", and that's why they didn't display.

The page-break button is a different story, as it no longer seems to be default enabled under WP4.x, so we have to manually add this one, called "wp_page".
