After you upgraded to iOS14 (or newer), you may start noticing a orange dot, or a green dot, in the upper right corner of your screen.
So what do these "dots" mean?
The dots are there to alert you that the microphone or camera is being used.
Orange
An application is actively using your microphone.
This can be while dictating text, taking a voice memo, or doing and Audio/Video chat in apps like WhatsApp or Google Hangouts.
Green
The green dot does something similar, just this time for the camera.
Note: By pulling down control centre from the top of your screen, you can identify the offending app, so you can uninstall it if that's a dealbreaker for you.
