Sometimes you want a window to close when the Esc key is pressed, well, Delphi offers a neat trick to get to done very easily;
1) Set Keypreview=True for you form
2) In the onKeyPressed event add:
if key = #27 then Close;
For example:
procedure TForm1.FormKeyPress(Sender: TObject; var Key: Char);
begin
if key = #27 then Close;
end;
