@ghq mine runs QTS 4.3.4.2814. I'm sure you can upgrade yours to that version as well (after you swapped disks)

? What.

Mine says the latest firmware for TS 559 Pro II is 4.2.6 (20240618) released July 2024 actually.

I tried many time and it keeps saying i'm using the latest sadly.

Bummer ... I did not think there would be a difference between 559 and 869 ... but I guess that "6" shows for a newer generation maybe. Oh well.

On that note:
A few months ago I did try UnRaid on my TS869 and it ran surprisingly well.
Obviously one shouldn't use or expect much with dockers/virtual machines.
But just as a storage device it ran very smooth and can run straight of a USB stick. The reason why I went back to QTS?
1) UnRAID is not RAID, it can mix different disks (sizes), but the parity is limited. It works though.
2) Not at fan of the price model, even though its not unfair priced, for me it did not add "that" much value.

Cool. Will check that out.

Yeah i had double checked for the latest firmware. There is a big different between QTS 4.3.x and 4.2.6.

New stuff added and other improvement but i'll have to stick with old 4.2.6

But it runs smooth right now. Changed the disc as you said with no partition on it and it went right away to re-building √

So thx for your help buddy. Much appreciated.

Well as long as it runs smooth: Why fix it if it 'aint broken! Right? 😊

Good to hear that things worked out well - always nice to have some one to share the experience with, right? 😉
(I feel the same way when going through a proces like that)
