For those who side load Android apps on their Quest (1, 2, Pro, 3, etc.):
You'll notice these apps always start portrait mode and look rather limited - like on your phone.

If you start the application through "DeX MAX" however, they will open landscape mode (like on a tablet).
Don't be fooled by the filename (Tweak for Samsung) - it works!

Tried it on a Quest 3 with CX File Explorer and Amaze FileManager (all free).

I'm on the quest 3 and the dex max does work on it, but it still runs all the apps on portrait mode. You know another app or work around.

I miss the Samsung PhoneCast vr app that was such an amazing app the UI and functionality was spot on it's a shame they stop developing it.

Did you start DeX Max, and then in DeX Max did you select the app you'd like to run in landscape/tablet mode?
Works on my Quest 3 just fine.

Never heard of the Samsung Phonecast VR, only found this version when I tried to Google it.

the version of cx file explorer you are using is not the official one.

(edit: removed link, cxfileexplorer.org, as it appears to be not the official one)

@davidwilly thanks for the heads-up ... it is always good to have the official one, but how do I determine which one is really the original one?

The link you provided, cxfileexplorer.org, is terribly outdated and show a old version (v2.1.1.1) where as the earlier posted link, cxfileexplorer.com, shows the most recent version (2.3.2) which matches the version on Google Play. So it looks like your link is not the official one. (for safety reason I've removed the .org link)
