macOS - Determine what the standard shell is

So Apple switched to the z-shell a while ago, and in one of my applications I needed to find out which of the shells was being used.

Took me bit of work to figure that one out and it proved super simple.

So in case you're interested in this as well, this is how it is done (output example included):

~ $ echo $SHELL

/bin/zsh
