[Solved] Lazarus Pascal - macOS - fpcupdeluxe-aarch64-darwin-cocoa.app damaged

Just posting this here as a reminder for myself, but maybe it is useful to other 😊 

When downloading fpcupdeluxe for macOS, then you may run into the dreaded "fpcupdeluxe-aarch64-darwin-cocoa.app” is damaged and can’t be opened" error message. I've had this only on my M1 Mac, but this may happen on Intel hardware as well of course.

* this may apply to other applications as well, when not downloaded from the Apple Store.

A fis for this, is running this in Terminal:

xattr -cr fpcupdeluxe-aarch64-darwin-cocoa.app

which clears recursively the extended attributes of the files in the .app bundle and resolves the issue.
