If I click OK, it simply continues to request confirmation indefinitely, although the main GUI loads after the 3rd acceptance.
It seems that after repeating this process 3 or 4 times, now, the dialog doesn't appear. I'm uncertain whether this is positive or negative.

Apologies for the delayed response - I'm in the middle of moving, so life has been more like camping these last weeks.
What Linux distro and version are you using? Maybe I can try to reproduce this here and see if I can fix it.
An Access Violation error should of course not happen.
