If you're the only user of your computer, and you have no "sensitive" information on your computer, having to login each time can be a pain ...
Previous Windows version did offer an autologin option, and so does Windows 8 / 8.1.
- Open a DOS box (command prompt) and type: netplwiz which will open the "Advanced User Accounts Control Panel" program.
- Select from the list, the default user that should be logged in with the auto login.
- Next, uncheck the box next to "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer" and click "OK".
- A password confirmation (twice) will be asked and you're good to go after restarting your computer.
Note : Make sure to disable the "prompt for password" in your screensaver as well ...
