[Solved] MacOS X - How to get available WiFi SSIDs from Terminal

It's well hidden, that's for sure, but you can actually do a WiFi network scan from Terminal to see which SSID's are available to your computer.

/System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/Apple80211.framework/Versions/Current/Resources/airport -s

This will produce a list something like this in a matter of seconds:

                            SSID BSSID             RSSI CHANNEL HT CC SECURITY (auth/unicast/group)
                        FastWifi c4:94:15:4b:19:73 -30 36 Y -- WPA2(PSK/AES/AES) 
                For-AirBNB 4e:d9:f7:8b:f1:ef -69 6 Y -- WPA2(PSK/AES/AES) 
                  For-Unifi 4a:d9:f7:8b:f1:ef -69 6 Y -- WPA2(PSK/AES/AES)
