[Solved] MacOS X - Alternative to Linux "su" for Mac shell

When trying to use the "su" (substitute user identity - or: run a shell as superuser/root), you might find that your password will not work.
With the following statement however, you can open a Bash shell as superuser/admin with elevated rights:

sudo -s

It wil prompt for your password and open a Bash shell session.
