Thank you for using the forum, and for starting a new topic (this way questions stay nicely separated in case other are looking for an answer to a problem they encounter). It is appreciated 👍
Since you're having an M4, I'll assume you're running macOS Tahoe? I'll also assume you're using RenameMyTVSeries 2.3.12?
Always try to provide as much info as you can. RMTV has a function for that in the About window 😊
It will produce a convenient list with info on your clipboard which you can paste here in the forum:
Something like this:
Rename My TV Series: 2.3.12 (Build 21)
SQLite library: v.3.51.0
OS: macOS, Version 26.1 (Build 25B78),
Data path: /Users/hans/Library/Application Support/Rename My TV Series/
Since its a new install, uninstall may not help (in case you're wondering: Uninstall RMTV).
Since it runs fine on my M4 Macbook Air and M1 Macbook Pro, both under Tahoe, and nobody reported issues, I'll have to go guess:
1) Did you download the latest version from this website? (link)
2) I'm wonder where you installed RMTV? Did you place it in your "Applications"? Or did you run it (for example) from Your "Downloads" or "Desktop"?
3) Under System Settings -> Privacy & Security: Is RenameMyTVSeries listed under the "Files & Folders"?
4) Do you see the Preferences file(s) in this location?
/Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Rename My TV Series
5) Did you try closing RMTV, removing that preferences directory, and starting RMTV again?
