I've created a virtualized app using Cameyo - which is free and works like a charm.
However, I ran into the problem that after a while a virtualized app wouldn't start anymore and would give me an "Error 3".
Thank goodness the fix was easy:
Run the virtualized app from the commandline (CMD) and add " -remove", so if your app is on the desktop, drag the app on your CMD windows and add " - remove" - which will remove all "left overs" from the virtual app (not the executable itself though).
Restart the app and everything works fine again. 
Example:
C:>"C:Documents and SettingsusernameDesktopVirtualizedApp.cameyo.exe" -remove
