I ran into the problem that when posting a link to Google Plus that Google would report a "Could not load website." error message ...
It took me a while to figure out what the problem was, since other services like Twitter and Facebook worked just fine.
For some reason, modsecurity threw a fit and added the Google Proxy to the deny list of the firewall.
Obviously removing the IP address of the Google Procy from my firewall deny-list solved the issue.
