DNS request are usually cached, which speeds up lookups when going to servers we've gone to before.
Sometimes however we need to clear that cache, specially when data is outdated or when we are playing without our network configuration.
To clear DNS cache in Mac OSX, we can do it with the help of Terminal (Applications -> Utilities -> Terminal).
Mac OSX 10.4 And Below
lookupd -flushcache
Mac OSX 10.5 And Above
dscacheutil -flushcache
