[Solved] Lazarus - Create directories and Create Directories Recursively

Sometimes you just want to make sure a path exists before storing a file there.

In the past I used mkdir and createdir for that in FPC/Lazarus Pascal.

Today however, I had to find out that if a non-existing directory in a non-existing directory would fail with these two functions. For example b.v. creating directory2, like so \Users\Hans\directory1\directory2, where directory1 does not yet exist.

Instead one should use the function ForceDirectories(aPath) (in the unit sysutils).
