Hi Jon,

Good to hear that you've made some progress ...
Please report if you run into issues again, I greatly appreciate feedback and this way I can look for fixing issues 😊
I did write RMTV just as an experiment, and actually rarely use it (mostly only for testing).
So input from folks that use if more frequent is very much valued.

It sounds like some sorts of database corruption - so it would be awesome if we could catch when this happens.

Note on TheTVDB; Quite a few users have moved to TheMovieDB or TVMaze. The reasons for that:
- TVDB has had its moments where it caused problems (connection issues, API issues, content issues)
- TVDB is ready to move to a paid subscription model (not sure if I will be supporting this or not)

Keep me posted on how things go! 😊

Actually I did mean 2.1.2 build 20. I did not realize there was a newer version available. I can try that out as well.

190

1) Windows 10 x64

2) No I haven't tried that. I will try that now.

OK I've tried that. The app doesn't crash when loading episodes but I lost all of my settings (which I'd like to keep) and TV show history (which I don't need to keep).

3) Yes it happens with any TV show (so far) that I choose from the dropdown of my history of shows.

It has also happened when choosing new shows that I had just searched for. For that issue, the app crashes when pressing the "Get Episodes" button. But that does not happen for every show.

I only have The TVDB selected as a data provider

OK I've fixed the issue and stopped the crashing (for now).

After testing renaming the data folder and losing my settings, I realized I can go back to my original data folder and clear my show list. So I kept my settings and purged my TV show history. Now it is loading the TV show episodes much faster and not crashing.

I guess if it starts crashing again, I can just purge my show list.

But I'm sure you'd still like to find a resolution for this issue, so let me know if you need any more info on my setup.

Thank you very much for reporting the issue, it is very much appreciated!
Nice to see that you did find a workaround, but obviously this is not how it is supposed to work.

I presume you meant version 2.1.3 build 20.
As I cannot reproduce this issue;

1) What operating system are you running? (Windows, macOS, Linux)
2) Have you tried deleting the database and start from scratch? (just rename the data folder for testing)
3) Does this happen with any TV show and/or any data provider?

Data locations:

macOS: /Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Rename My TV Series ,
Linux: ~/.config/Rename My TV Series
Windows: c:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Rename My TV Series

This issue has been happening for me for a while, I've installed at least one upgrade and I'm still seeing this issue. I'm running version 2.1.2 (build 20).

The issue is: After opening the RMTVS app, and choosing a TV series from the dropdown of recent shows, the TV Show Details area will load, the Episodes list will not load and the application will close. Reopening the app and choosing the same TV series from the dropdown will make the Episodes list load after the second try.

This issue is more of an annoyance than an issue for me since I can resolve it by just reopening the RMTVS app after it closes. I want to make sure that the developer is aware of the issue so they can possibly resolve it.
