With the intro of PHP8, Wordpress occasionally would encounter an "Allowed memory size ... exhausted" error.
This would effectively "cut off" a part of the page and cripple (for example) the main menu.

It was about time to migrate the website to PHP8.
As usual with big version changes of PHP, in this case from PHP7.x to 8.x, a few things broke and have been fixed on my test server.
I hope no other issues will surface here.
