Hello everybody! I'm having issues trying to bacukup a copy to new SD card. I could make an .img file from the previous SD no problem, but trying to copy it into a brand new SD gives the "unable to open destination disk" issue. The software has full access to disk, both SD work fine, and it does detect the new SD card when selecting the disk. However, two seconds after I select the .img file, this issue pops up.

Old SD is in FAT format, file size is 62 GB, new SD is FAT format, 64 GB completely empty. Any idea how to solve this? Thanks!

I am trying to back it up, and shrink the drive from a 128GB Drive to a much smaller file. I have the shrink option set properly in ApplePi Baker and when I start the cloning, It seems to shrink the partition and image filesize by barely anything. I have tried to shrink with both the stable version as well as the beta version of ApplePi Baker, and the cloned image just doesn't shrink. NOTE: I am saving the clone as a

I'm wondering if I can use my Mac with ApplePi Imager to back up my AMD64 version of Ubuntu to a bootable ISO on my Mac. On my X86 machine, I am running Ubuntu 24.04 Server and it is installed on a USB Stick. When I shutdown the Ubunutu x86 machine, and plug my usb stick with ubuntu x86 on it into my mac, ApplePi-Baker Beta backs up the Ubuntu USB stick to an IMG file just fine. HOWEVER, it will ignore the shrink/expand option, and thus, I have an extremely large img file with tons of empty space, just taking up space on my mac hard drive. I am wondering if ApplePiBaker (Non Beta) can successfully backup and X86 OS and shrink the IMG file while doing so. If now, do you have any other suggestions on how I can go about shrinking and then backing up a large USB stick with Ubuntu x86 installed on it, on a Mac? Please let me know if you have any Ideas.

I have an SBC with a removable eMMC of 14.5GB. The difficulty is that the mass storage state of this board is very difficult to achieve (I’ve been unable to achieve it) so I use dd to copy working systems from the SD. I am unable to use a 16GB SD as that is too large for the eMMC.

Can anyone tell me is it possible to specify the target SD’s partition size to say 14GB so I can make use of the eMMC’s capacity?

Thanks in advance for any input.
